1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to ScreenMeasure.
It is a locally-running screen measurement tool with features including:
- On-screen ruler measurement between two points
- Freehand tracing for rough area estimation
- Local calibration and preference storage for your device setup
2. Do We Collect Personal Data?
No.
The app does not upload, sell, or transmit personal data to developer-controlled servers.
No account registration, advertising tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs are required.
3. Information Processed Locally
To provide measurement features, the app processes locally:
- Device type and platform info (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc.)
- Screen parameters such as resolution, scale, and available display size
- Your preferences such as units, theme, calibration results, and ruler length
- Measurement history records that you choose to keep in the app
This information is stored primarily on your device.
4. What We Don't Collect
The app doesn't collect: name, email, phone, location, contacts, photos/videos, audio, health data, payment info, browsing history, or advertising identifiers for developer profiling.
5. Permissions
The current version doesn't request camera, microphone, contacts, photo library, or location permissions.
6. Third-Party Services
No third-party advertising, analytics, or profiling SDKs are integrated.
The app may use Apple's platform storage APIs, including iCloud key-value sync for measurement history across devices signed into the same Apple account.
If you contact the developer by email, your email provider's data practices may also apply.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
ScreenMeasure does not keep personal data on developer servers. Preferences, calibration results, and most history data remain on your device until you delete the app or clear its local data.
If you enable or use iCloud on your device, synced history values may also be stored through Apple's iCloud infrastructure for the purpose of making your measurement history available on your other devices.
Because the current version does not rely on developer-run accounts, analytics tracking, or server-side personal data collection, there is no developer-held account data to request access to or delete.
The current version also does not use consent-based tracking permissions, so there is no separate in-app tracking consent to withdraw.
8. Data Security
All app data is stored locally by default, with optional Apple-managed iCloud synchronization used for measurement history where supported. If you choose to email the developer, the information you send is governed by your email provider and its retention controls.
9. Children's Privacy
The app isn't designed for children and doesn't intentionally collect children's information.
10. Policy Changes
If app features or data practices change in a future release, we will update this policy here.
